Be My Light
A routine visit to the quilt shop today gave me
unexpected opportunities to light up a darkened room.
A simple question of "How Are You" became a complex mix of emotion.
The loss of a child, young or old, is something I personally have not experienced but
have experienced it second hand through those I deeply care about. The news of
an unbeatable disease was heard and began crushing my healthy heart. The thing is,
in both cases, I asked a question and now an answer needed to happen.
First and foremost, just listen through their tears, their broken hearts and
their confused minds. Then, be a light of encouragement and hope.
God places opportunities in our paths daily and wants us to be a
light that shines toward Him. True comforting words of hope and
sincere prayers for healing can only come from knowing Gods Word.
Finding the right words to share, can only come from the Spirit.
Let your light so shine that others will see that God loves them in
their time of need and despair.
Thank you Lord for Your opportunities to share Your love.
