The news comes again shattering our hearts deep within,
For those who died at the hands of the enemies sin.

And now we mourn and fall to our knees,
begging our God, please, oh God please.

But where were you last week in the calm of your soul,
Were your knees bent then, praying for all?

Why is it that tragedy draws us to You,
why not everyday the whole year through?

Let us begin prayer time as a daily routine,
holding on to Your Word and all that You mean.

You told us to pray and seek Your face,
turning from sin and our wick ways.

Then You would hear from heaven forgiving our sins,
and heal our lands and our hearts within.

This poem sums it up, to bend a knee and to fall,
to pray for the nations and to pray for us all.

When I doubt God's steadfast love for me,
may I quickly turn to
Psalm 36:57
"Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens;
Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the great mountains;
Your judgments are a great deep'
O Lord, You preserve man and beast.
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men
put their trust under the
shadow of Your wings."

Reading Leviticus this morning, chapter 8:22-24, Moses consecrated Aaron and his sons
right ears so they would hear the voice of God, their right thumbs so they would serve God
and right toes so they would walk in the path of God

Lord, cause my ears, hands and feet to be consecrated for You.

Be My Light

A routine visit to the quilt shop today gave me
unexpected opportunities to light up a darkened room.
A simple question of "How Are You" became a complex mix of emotion.
The loss of a child, young or old, is something I personally have not experienced but
have experienced it second hand through those I deeply care about. The news of
an unbeatable disease was heard and began crushing my healthy heart. The thing is,
in both cases, I asked a question and now an answer needed to happen.
First and foremost, just listen through their tears, their broken hearts and
their confused minds. Then, be a light of encouragement and hope.
God places opportunities in our paths daily and wants us to be a
light that shines toward Him. True comforting words of hope and
sincere prayers for healing can only come from knowing Gods Word.
Finding the right words to share, can only come from the Spirit.
Let your light so shine that others will see that God loves them in
their time of need and despair.
Thank you Lord for Your opportunities to share Your love.

In my bible, the caption for Psalm 16 is
"The Hope Of The Faithful and the Messiah's Victory"
Knowing that I have nothing good within me apart from my Lord
and that all He has given me I can be satisfied with.
As I take in all that He says, I can place complete trust in Him and
rejoice with gladness knowing that my path of life is in His
hands and I can rest in His promised Hope.
Thank You Lord

Three wonderful things to hold on to as I begin my day.
God's word is so rich with blessings, comfort and encouragement.

Just as my car needs attention when the "Engine Check" light appears,
my heart needs attention, too. I had an incident arise today which, I knew I was beginning to go down the wrong path. My "Heart Check" light came on and Psalm 139:23-24 flashed before me.
I'm so blessed to have an internal warning system, the Holy Spirit, to
warn me of danger and to bring to remembrance my saving lifeline, God's Word.
Thank you Lord for directing my path.

Hoping that your day's beginning is as beautiful as mine! The sun is out, the temperature is brisk and the view is awesome. Well, the first month's "Open The Eyes of My Heart" on-line study was a huge success. Thank to those of you who participated. It was very interesting how God brought certain things to mind individually and then showed us collectively just what He want all of us to see.
I looking forward to this months experience and interaction that will take place. So, like last month, here is the picture, study it, meditate on it and journal what you are seeing and feeling. Jot down the scripture that comes to mind and memorize it. Let this be a time spent with the Lord and seeing things through His eyes. Enjoy and can't wait to share with all of you!

"Open The Eyes Of My Heart"

What an interesting picture, clocks disassembled, a watch and a necklace.
The parts consist of gears, chimes, hands, pendulums, faces, coils and a key.
The watch has a cross in the center and the necklace has a set of wings.
What do you see in this picture before you?
When I first took the picture, some very strong thoughts came to mind. Then when I stared a bit more and sought the Lord, I saw so much more. I didn't just see clocks and parts, I saw some things in my life. As I was dwelling on things, I began to make a list and how interesting it has become.
Where are you in the process of observing what God is saying through the picture? Share one or two of your thoughts if you want on the comment area below the posting. Remember, if  God has given you some scripture, start memorizing it.
"I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you."
Ps. 119:111

"Open The Eyes of My Heart"
Bible Study
Time
This is a quote from Greg Laurie's daily devotional that I thought I would share with you.
"Finally, there is our time. Let's say that one day your phone rang and it was the president of the bank that you use. He told you that an anonymous donor who loved you very much had decided to deposit 86,400 pennies into your bank account each and every morning. At first, maybe that didn't seem like a lot. But then you figured out that it was $864 a day. At seven days a week and 52 weeks a year, those pennies add up to almost $315,000 each year! But the bank president added one thing: "The anonymous giver said you must spend all of the money on the day you receive it! No balance will be carried over to the next day. Each evening the bank must cancel whatever sum you failed to use! Remember, what you don't spend is lost."

That may sound like fantasy, but here's the reality: Every morning, Someone who loves you very much deposits into your "bank of time" 86,400 seconds, which represent 1,440 minutes, which of course equals 24 hours each and every day. God gives you that much to use each day. Nothing is ever carried over on credit to the next day. There is no such thing as a 27-hour day. It's called time, and you can't escape it. Time is ticking away right now. The Bible tells us to "redeem the time"—to make sacred and wise use of every opportunity.

"Open The Eyes of My Heart"
Bible Study

Good afternoon to those who are joining the bible study which will begin tomorrow.
My message today is that of encouragement. Our Lord is such a wonderful example in that He set Himself apart to pray before doing. Let me encourage you to do the same in preparation for this study. Pray today that we will learn and be encouraged in this new venture.
See you tomorrow!
